PRAIRIE VIEW UNVEILS PLANS
FOR NEW EAST WICHITA OFFICE

Mental Health Services Provider to Build
At Legacy Park-Wilson Estates

(Wichita, KS) - In a move that will better accommodate its growing client base and allow for expanded patient services at its east Wichita office, Prairie View has announced the purchase of 122,000-sq. ft. of land at the new Legacy Park - Wilson Estates, 21st & Webb Road. The mental health services provider also unveiled plans to build a 17,000-sq. ft. Mediterranean-style office on the site, just south of the Wichita Clinic, relocating from its 7,500-sq. ft. offices at 2939 North Rock Road, Suite 100. Opening in 2004, the new office will more than double the size of Prairie View's east office.

According to Mel Goering, chief executive officer of Prairie View, the organization has considered the need for more space for a number of years. "Since opening our east Wichita office in 1989, we have seen our client base and staff numbers expand dramatically," stated Goering. "This move to Legacy Park will offer increased comfort and convenience for our patients as well as additional space to accommodate expanded services."

The new building will include 30 private clinical offices and six medication evaluation rooms, representing a fifty percent increase over current resources. The space will also feature a spacious lobby/waiting area with private alcoves. In addition, Prairie View has planned three education rooms with a capacity of up to 15 persons each. A 60-seat community education center with an additional 1,600-sq.ft. is planned for phase two of the building plan.

The new Prairie View offices will also include additional rooms for family and children's services, and environments that will reduce fear and anxiety. According to Goering, the offices will be designed with colors and play objects familiar to children, making it easier and less stressful for families and young children receiving services. "We are working hard to create an environment that will be patient-focused and patient-friendly," Goering said.

Prairie View's Rock Road office currently employs 30 part-and full-time staff members, including psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed therapists, social workers, a registered nurse and support staff. The new office is expected to employ 40 persons. Goering added, "The increased space at our new office will enable us to add professional staff, thus enhancing our efficiency and patient care."

George E. Laham, II, of Laham Development, developers of Legacy Park-Wilson Estates, noted, "Prairie View adds a new dimension to the mix of health care services offered at Wilson Estates. We are creating an environment that will offer a broad base of medical services including the Wichita Clinic, Pierson Dental, Norris Chiropractic, Alterra Assisted Living and Walgreen's." Recently, Grene Vision Group announced plans to relocate its offices from Central & Rock Road to Laham Development's new 33-acre Wilson Estates Medical Park on Webb Road just south of 21st Street. Scheduled to open in late spring 2003, the Grene campus will include 30,000-sq. ft. within a two-story Mediterranean style building.

Mediterranean-style building just south of Prairie State Bank. Legacy Park has two office sites and two retail sites remaining, with announcements pending on those in the near future. Wilson Estates is a 320-acre master-planned community including residential, office, The Hilton Garden Inn and Wichita's premier lifestyle center, Bradley Fair.
