SUNFLOWER BANK ANNOUNCES PLANS TO BUILD
BRANCH AT LEGACY PARK - WILSON ESTATES
(Wichita, KS) - Underscoring its commitment to Wichita-area customers and strengthening
its local presence, Salina, Kansas-based Sunflower Bank announced
plans today to build a new 3,500-sq. ft. full-service bank at Legacy
Park - Wilson Estates, a Laham Development project at 21st Street & Webb Road. The announcement was made by George Laham, President of Laham Development.
Jim Faith, president of Sunflower Bank Wichita, said the new facility will
be built south of Walgreen's along Webb Road and is slated for opening in late
spring of 2004. "The visibility and convenience of Legacy Park make it ideal
for Sunflower Bank as we reinforce our customer-focused mission," Faith said.
"We are excited to provide a full-service location to people who live and work
in this growing area of east Wichita."
Faith added that the new location will be built
as a prototype for future Sunflower facilities, incorporating a
variety of features to enhance customer service and convenience.
The location will offer financial services for both personal and
commercial customers. The single story building will feature Mediterranean-style
architecture, three drive-through lanes, a free-standing drive-up
ATM, inside teller stations, a conference room, private offices
and safe deposit boxes.
Founded in 1892 in Salina, Sunflower Bank is
a family-owned bank with assets of approximately one billion dollars.
The home office is in Salina, and the bank has 23 facilities in
14 markets throughout the state including Salina, Junction City,
Lawrence, Manhattan, Wichita, McPherson, Dodge City, Ellinwood,
Great Bend, Hays, Victoria, Russell, Osborne, and Colby. The bank
also has five locations in Colorado including Cañon City, Monte
Vista and South Fork.
A project of Laham Development, Legacy Park -
Wilson Estates features 11 buildings with 110,000-sq.-ft. of office,
retail and restaurants. Ground was broken in January 2000 on the
19-acre development with the Wichita Clinic building. Other Legacy

Legacy Park has one office site and one retail
site remaining, with announcements pending on those in the near
future. Wilson Estates is a 320-acre master-planned community including
residential, office, The Hilton Garden Inn and Wichita's premier
lifestyle center, Bradley Fair.
