SUBWAY TO BUILD NEW RESTAURANT AT REGENCY LAKES

(WICHITA, KS) - Laham Development has announced that Rottinghaus Real estate, LLC has purchased a pad site at Regency Lakes Shopping Center, 21st Street North & Greenwich Road in Wichita. Construction of a Subway restaurant will begin immediately on the site, with completion scheduled for July 2009. The announcement was made by Cathy Kirkhart, vice-president of Laham Development.

The growth of surrounding retail and residential development and convenient access to K96 Highway makes Regency Lakes an ideal location for Subway. "With the recent opening of KANZA Bank and the scheduled May opening of the Hampton Inn & Suites, along with the continued momentum of residential and retail development on the 21st Street corridor, Subway should enjoy a good reception," said Cathy Kirkhart. A $10.2 million improvement project on East 21st Street will expand 21st Street from two to four lanes between K-96 highway and 159th Street East. Installation of landscaped medians, a center turn lane, traffic signals, sidewalks and storm water improvements is expected to be complete by June 2010.

This new location of the world famous submarine sandwich chain is a testament to the increasing popularity of healthier meal options. Subway provides health-conscious choices and promotes its use of fresh ingredients in its sandwiches, soups and salads. The Subway restaurant chain has joined in the fight against hunger by providing groceries to Feeding America's network of food banks. Subway's contribution will provide over three million pounds of groceries as part of the "Pound for Pound Challenge", a charitable initiative that encourages weight loss and helps feed those facing hunger in the U.S.

With over 400,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, Laham Development's Regency Lakes is anchored by Super Target and World Market. Built around a contemporary architectural theme accented by natural stone and landscaped waterways, the center opened in October 2004. Additional retail stores located between Super Target and K-96 are planned for the future.

Christi Royse of J.P. Weigand & Sons, Inc. handled the transaction for Laham Development.
