MID-AMERICA ORTHOPAEDICS GROUP ANNOUNCES LAND PURCHASE AT WILSON ESTATES MEDICAL
PARK
(Wichita, KS) – Reinforcing its multi-disciplined service strategy and catering
to its regional patient base, Mid-America Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Clinic announced today the purchase of 60,000 sq.-ft. of land for
a new clinic at Wilson Estates Medical Park, a Laham Development
project located at Webb Road and Wilson Estates Parkway. A late
2003 completion is planned for Mid-America Orthopaedics’ Wichita
location, according to George E. Laham, II, president of Laham
Development Company.
A comprehensive general orthopaedic and spine
care provider, Mid-America Orthopaedics currently has locations
in Wichita and El Dorado. The group plans to relocate its Wichita
offices from 221 S. Topeka, Suite 100, to a 15,000-18,000 sq.-ft.
facility at Wilson Estates Medical Park. Mid-America Orthopaedics
will maintain its El Dorado offices, SBA Medical Clinic East, at
700 W. Central, Suite 101. Medical director for Mid-America Orthopaedics
is Patrick D. Do, M.D.
Laham noted that the addition of Mid-America Sports
Medicine and Orthopaedics continues the development’s trend to
bring the area’s premier healthcare providers to Wilson Estates
Medical Park. “Dr. Do has built a reputation on responsive patient
service and has assembled
a team of expert providers with a similar orientation,” said Laham.
“We are confident that his team will promote the regional appeal
of Wilson Estates Medical Park, and be a great asset to area healthcare
consumers.”
Practicing from the new Wilson Estates location
will be the group’s medical director, Orthopaedic Surgeon Patrick
D. Do, M.D., and a team of board-certified, fully credentialed
medical providers: Michael K. Kyles, M.D., Spine and General Orthopaedics;
Henry D. Do, M.D., Occupational and Internal Medicine (starting
July 2003); Barry Kentopp, PA-C (physician assistant-certified);
Trent Schell, PA-C; Dane Stark, P.T.; and Amy Garcia, R.N, M.S.N.
The team provides comprehensive orthopaedic prevention,
care and rehabilitation, including sports medicine, pre-employment
physicals, occupational medicine, performance assessment, therapy/rehabilitation/work
hardening, impairment ratings, independent medical evaluations,
and insurance support services.
According to Dr. Do, Mid-America Orthopaedics’
service strategy focuses on: 1) Providing state-of-the-art care
and treatment across all orthopaedic and connected disciplines
within one clinic, 2) Offering the latest technologies, such as
shock wave treatment; and 3) Providing unparalleled service, including
two shifts of patient care.
The move to Wilson Estates Medical Park will advance
the group’s focus on the physician-patient relationship, said Dr.
Do. “Our physicians and providers have a passion for patient care,
and the Wilson Estates location will allow us to offer multi-faceted
services in a centrally located development,” he said.
Mid-America Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Clinic
joins Christopher Moeller, M.D.; Grene Vision Group; and Oral & Maxillofacial Associates, all of whom have clinics currently under construction
at Wilson Estates Medical Park.
Designed for state-of-the-art healthcare and convenience,
Wilson Estates Medical Park will include up to 220,000-sq. ft.
of offices and as many as 16 buildings amid a spacious, campus-style
setting offering an array of healthcare services. In keeping with
the development’s patient-centered focus, each building in Wilson
Estates Medical Park will be visible from a single loop drive,
making all medical offices accessible from one central roadway.
A traffic signal will be installed at Wilson Estates Parkway and
Webb Road.
Wilson Estates Medical Park will feature abundant
green space and doorside parking, and will reflect the distinctive
architectural style of Bradley Fair and Wilson Estates with additional
masonry detailing. Strategically located near K-96 Expressway and
the I-35 Andover Turnpike, Wilson Estates Medical Park will be
minutes from fast-growing northeast Wichita neighborhoods, Bradley
Fair shopping center, the Hilton Garden Inn, and offices such as
Wilson Estates Office Park and Legacy Park. An adjacent Laham Development
project, Legacy Park – Wilson Estates, is currently home to Norris
Chiropractic, Pierson Dental, and Wichita Clinic. Slated for future
opening are Prairie View, Renal Care Group, and Garozzo’s Ristorante
(June 2003).
Project architect for Wilson Estates Medical Park
is Shelden Architecture. J.P. Weigand & Sons is the exclusive broker. Financing is provided by Intrust Bank. |
